In chapter 1, on page 20, Mayann prays for her deceased loved ones, and mentions one “Jean”. So who was he?
(In this story, we also find out a bit how Falco was living in Paris.)
Argh. I’m too worried about the bandwith (whatever for? It’s not like I have a fan pilgrimage going on here…) but I guess I could upgrade the files.
When Mochi appears, Falco will be very, very depressed.
Edit: Something strange happened when I scanned the originals, and some of the files became “over-exposed”. I re-scanned some (with greyscale) later, and the strangeness disappeared.
As for scanning, I’ve to my surprise noticed that (at least with my scanner) when scanning black and white, there is a big difference between TIF and BMP. In TIFs, the lines get a bit jagged, but in BMPs they are much smoother.
Because having a Mochi is like having a baby… Well, it ought to make him happy to see Mayann’s maternal side develop, but that just reminds him of certain vows that he thought he could keep.
Why, that would be practically atheism to him! No Holy Virgin Mary? No Latin mass? No gold and incense? The horror! (Just don’t mention the II. Vatican council.)
Damn, I have too many plots with the punchline “poor Falco”. Why do I have this sadistic inclination towards my favourite character? Well, at least Lou has got beaten up once. Maybe it’s time for a “poor Mayann” or “poor Andy” story.

Poor Falco!
The slightly low image quality saddens me a bit. As well as the absence of Mochi …

Why will Mochi make Falco depressed???!!!!

But that would be like kicking a puppy…

Jean’s first line on page 4 is now updated to (more) correct Japanese.
