The last post gave a glimpse of what Falco did in the Great War (not really representative, I haste to add). In Memoriam 1914-1918 is a blog that makes me wish I could read la bella lingua faster. There’s so much useful stuff about the mules of the Alpini, the plight of the Slavic minority peoples between two empires, and quotes from personal letters of Italian POWs in Austrian camps.
